Catherine Tromp is the principal Optometrist and owner of Noosa Optical. She provides a full range of eye health and vision related consultations. As a result, she looks after all age groups, including children.
She has completed post-graduate training in ocular therapeutics. So prescribing eye medications is possible without the need for referral. Diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of eye health conditions is all in a day’s work for Catherine. She works with local Ophthalmologists and General Practitioners to co-manage chronic conditions. Furthermore, she receives referrals from local GPs to provide a detailed eye examination and work through complex health conditions.
Catherine has been in private Optometry practice since 2004. Her first position was in Innisfail, far north Queensland. Catherine also traveled to work in Cairns as well as smaller and more remote communities around far north of Queensland. Consequently, she gained a fantastic foundation for full scope eye care.
In 2007 Catherine moved to Noosa after buying Noosa’s oldest Optometry practice. She took up the position of principal Optometrist and began to transform the practice into the successful Optometry practice you see today.
Her vision for the practice is to deliver excellence in clinical eye health and sight correction for her clients. Remaining independent from corporate control is central to her aim.
Catherine has two children and is married to Shane, who doubles as the managing director of the practice.
